I loved Mia’s Santa Rosa cake smash session. Look at sweet Mia who happens to be the daughter of a very talented realtor here in Sonoma County, CA. I helped photograph their wedding over 6 years ago at Trentadue Winery! Now she has two beautiful children. She wanted to document her youngest, Mia one year old milestone in the best way, with a cake smash of course!
We began the cake smash session with Mia in a beautiful vintage dress for some simple and sweet sitting portraits. I love to do this so the parents have memories of their children in such a simple form that go well in any area of their homes.
Then we did her bathtub photos which is always my favorite. Mia’s Mom is so creative she had a genius idea of using cabbage leaves from Trader Joes as decor on the bottom of the tub. Never in a million years could I have come up with the idea of making cabbage leaves so stylish and cute. I loved the way these images turned out!
Lastly, we documented Mia smashing her cake. Her mom got a naked cake from Safeway and then used her own flowers she bought from Trader Joes to decorate the cake. Once again, I could never be that creative to decorate the cake so beautifully!
We were both a little surprised by how much cake Mia ate. She went to town!
I absolutely love documenting such sweet milestones in families lives such as these cake smash sessions. Please make sure to contact me today to discuss your own childs Santa Rosa cake smash or milestone session. Contact me here
