Vinh and Tess held their wedding at the beautiful Vintners Resort in Santa Rosa, CA. Vintners Resort is known for its beautiful grounds, elegant ceremony site, vineyards and beautiful flowers and landscape that surround the property. It is tied to the iconic John Ash restaurant and a locals favorite. After changing their date two times due to the pandemic these two finally got to celebrate their wedding day! As a Sonoma County wedding photographer, Vintners Resort is one of my favorite places to document weddings as it has numerous options for portraits, gorgeous light and everything is easily accessible.

Tess enjoyed her wedding morning getting ready with her girls in the suite at Vintners Resort. She was all smiles, ear to ear, on her wedding day. It was very clear to me within minutes of arriving that Tess has very close friendships with her bridesmaids and it was so fun to witness. Girlfriends like that are hard to come by! The girls laughed and supported Tess through out the day and it was clear she would forever have their support as an individual and now as a wife. When she was finished with hair and makeup the girls threw confetti over them and the photos put a huge smile on my face, the clean up part probably not so much.

Vinh has one of the most contagious smiles Ive ever seen in a groom, and his expression when he saw Tess during their first look was absolute perfection. His big smile, his huge expression it was a photographers dream what can I say. Afterwards we took couples portraits at a few locations of the property to explore the best light as well as keep things as private as possible.

Through out the wedding day we focused a lot of our time to capture her family and friends candidly as Tess made it clear that her relationships with her friends and family were a priority and her second priority was sunset photos- my kind of bride! We made it a priority to document family and friends who haven’t seen each other in a long time as well as some posed portraits. Since Tess and Vinh did 90% of their portraits prior to their ceremony they were able to mingle with their guests during cocktail hour- highly recommend this!

There was a 20 minute period while guests were enjoying their meal that we were able to take the couple away for sunset photos and within that time frame were able to get some incredible shots. I love the way they look at each other with such respect and love, the way they laugh together and how happy they were  and I feel their wedding gallery shows these emotions.

I was able to get Vinh and Tess their entire wedding gallery by their first month anniversary of being husband and wife before going on their honeymoon. Tess immediately contacted me and told me how happy she was with her gallery and so excited to dive into each and every image- music to my ears! Wishing these two amazing people the very best in life and so honored they have such beautiful wedding photos to look at for all the years to come!
