Chateau St. Jean Wedding
Sarah and Johnny’s Chateau St. Jean Wedding in Sonoma was a long awaited celebration that I was so honored to be apart of. Like many 2020 couples Sarah and Johnny had to reschedule their wedding day to 2021.The pair made sure to celebrate the day properly full of good food, wine and laughter! Surrounded by their closest family and friends these two threw an epic celebration.
Chateau St. Jean is on the top of my list for favorite Sonoma County wedding venues. When you drive into the venue you are greeted with its long driveway that is surrounded by vineyards. Taller than life palm trees give it such a luxury and essential wine country presence. The winery surrounded by lush vineyard views, elegant and perfectly landscaped gardens, mountains sweeping the background all with European charm. Chateau St. Jean is truly a unique, stunning location and a dream venue to document your love.
Johnny and Sarah made it very clear to me they wanted more candid moments captured during their wedding day. Like many couples they didnt want to take photos the whole day, the wanted to enjoy their family and friends. They find more joy in the moments between their guests enjoying themselves than overly posed images of the two of them. I always appreciate when clients have clear communication with me as I strive to provide images that make them happy. As you can see in the below images their guests had a lovely time and it was an honor to capture it for them.
There is an image in their gallery of Sarahs grandmother and grandfather who have been married for 50+ years. When I asked the grandmother the secret to a long lasting marriage she said “Walk beside him, not in front, not behind, just next to him in life.” What great advice!
This Chateau St. Jean Wedding is one for the books! I will never forget this day!
