Sonoma County first birthday portraits

 

Documenting first birthday portraits is a favorite of mine here in my Sonoma County photography studio. However, when its one of my past couples celebrating their little ones first birthday, its extra special! I have now document Karinas engagement, boudoir, wedding, maternity,  and now Georgia’s first birthday. It really is one of the best parts of this career.

Karina brought Georgia in early in the morning which I recommend to all parents. We want to time it pre nap but still kind of hungry for the cake. She dressed her in a neutral romper (highly recommend for littles) with an oversized bow. Because well look how stinking cute is!

We start every cake smash with portraits of the little one, the cake smash itself and then in my tub. Were able to do all the portraits within 30-45 minutes so it makes it easy on everyone involved, especially momma! I always try to make this experience as easy as I can on the parents as I know photography with little ones can be extremely stressful.

Karina brought the perfect cake for a Sonoma County first birthday portraits. Baby Georgia was in a neutral colored romper and neutral bow. I tell all my clients for sitter sessions to keep the tones neutral so they are always in style as well as the fact that they photograph best in indoor light. I like to keep the sessions simple when it comes to distractions in the photos.
