Ru’s Farm Wedding Photographer |The Slader Wedding
As a Rus Farm wedding photographer, the Slader wedding at Ru’s Farm in Healdsburg was one of my favorite weddings of the season. Sophia and Cody invited 125 of their closest family and friends to celebrate their love and take in the beautiful wine country views that Ru’s Farm has to offer. Coordinated perfectly by Kismet Event Co, this wedding was one of my favorites of the year!
The setting at Ru’s Farm is breathtakingly authentic. Nestled on a private 15-acre vineyard estate just 1.5 miles from downtown Healdsburg, it manages to feel both secluded and serene while still incredibly convenient for guests. Rolling vineyards stretch toward the horizon, framed by lush gardens, olive trees, lavender, and rosemary. At the heart of the property stands a magnificent 100-year-old cork oak tree — a natural focal point that has become one of the most iconic ceremony backdrops in Wine Country.It’s the kind of place where the landscape does the styling for you. Every corner feels thoughtfully preserved and beautifully balanced, making Ru’s Farm one of the most naturally romantic settings in all of Wine Country.
The couple chose to skip a first look, wanting their first glimpse of each other to be at the altar. Cody’s expression shifted through every emotion the moment he saw Sophia, and it was truly an honor to capture. After their heartfelt ceremony—complete with sentimental vows that had the entire guest list, myself included, in happy tears—we set aside a short window for couples’ and bridal party portraits. They were intentional about spending as much time as possible with their guests rather than devoting the whole day to photos, so I worked efficiently and thoughtfully to ensure we captured what they wanted while still letting them fully enjoy their celebration.
Sophia poured thoughtful intention into every detail of the day. The linen signage, curated seating elements, and elegant florals all came together in a way that was beautifully understated and effortlessly timeless.
The evening ended on the sweetest note — Noble Folk’s iconic ice cream cart, espresso martinis, and plenty of laughter all around.
