I don’t think I could ask for a better couple, better venue or better guests than at Chris and Rebecca’s Deer Park Villa wedding in Fairfax. I have shot weddings at Deer Park Villa many times now and I swear each wedding keeps on getting better and better. When I arrived at Rebecca’s bridal suite she was calm and collected, spending the morning with her two best friends/bridesmaids and soaking up the last few minutes before she stood in front of her loved ones and Chris and vowed for forever. Already one of the most stunning women I have ever laid my eyes on, when Rebecca put on her Enzoani gown my jaw nearly dropped the floor- a true beauty. We had some time before guests arrive so I did her bridal and bridesmaid portraits in front of the gorgeous circular flower arch designed by Angella Garret. Utilizing the bright light that was available on this day was a priority of mine as I knew the couple portraits would be a tad darker and its always important to me to have a variety of lighting options for the couple.
After their short and sweet ceremony where Chris’s smile is forever embedded in my head when he saw Rebecca walk down the aisle the two took some family portraits and then we headed to Deer Park Villa’s infamous driveway to create some magic. These two really brought the FIRE and together we created some memorable images. Through out the day were sweet little remembrances of Rebecca’s mother who she recently lost and I would be lying if I said it didn’t choke me up many times during the day. But what put a big smile on my face along with Rebecca’s and her loved ones was the ability Chris had to center Rebecca and make her laugh. And that’s what marriage is all about, having a partner in life who can pick you up when you need it.
The two enjoyed their beautiful cake which was made by a friend of Rebecca’s, had a gorgeous first dance together and then shared the moment with Rebecca’s Dad and Chris’s Mother. I always love it when couples join the dance floor for the majority of the reception and these two did just that! They ended the night with a gorgeous sparkler exit and just a few days later they went off to Cancun for 10 days for their honeymoon and much needed time alone as husband and wife!
Congrats to Rebecca and Chris for an unforgettable wedding day and the beginning of a beautiful marriage!
