Its always an honor when a fellow wedding creative trusts and chooses me to document their special day but when Justin of Definition Films reached out to me to document their wedding day at BR Cohn, I was so grateful. Its not a secret that photographers and videographers are known to “clash” on a wedding day but we have always worked so well together and have gotten along. He has seen me work on the back and front end and chose me out of so much talent to document his day and that means the absolute world to me.

The day of his session the weather forecast predicted 40 + mph winds, I reached out to him a little worried about the wind and what his thoughts were. As we all know his fiancé, Veronica had everything planned in terms of makeup and hair and we didn’t have much a choice to move forward with it. When I arrived at the Bodega Bay location and opened up my car door the wind was so strong it immediately closed my door back shut. When they arrived, we laughed at it and said well lets make the most of it and man did we.

Im so in love with how their photos turned out even with the three of us eating our hair 90% of the time. The wind created such movement and emotion in the images that I couldn’t have asked for a better shoot. Add the incredible sunset to the crazy winds and it created such intimate still images.

I can not wait to document their B.R Cohn winery wedding next year!
