Bay Area Elopement Photographer

Being a Bay Area elopement photographer allows me to document so many sentimental and intimate ceremonies, like this one. Mike and Kelly promised each other forever in front of their closest 20 people in their lives at their own church which happens to be across the street from their house.

St. Patricks church located in downtown Larkspur was full of stained glass and was the perfect, personal setting for these two to declare and promise their love to one another. Kelly wore a white a-line simple dress with a short veil and heels that complimented each other so very well. Her loose and delicate bouquet full of colors really brought the whole look together.

Unlike most Catholic mass ceremonies their ceremony was on the shorter side. The pastor had some great words and included the parents of the couple as well. At one point he asked how long each couples parent had been married and both have been married over 30 years. It was pretty remarkable to witness. The pastor also touched upon the fact that Kelly and Mike had the best intentions for their marriage, that they wanted their wedding but they cared more about their marriage.

After their short, sweet church ceremony we took photos in the neighbors backyard which had the most beautiful light. We then went down the street to their favorite hang out spot and bar, it was so much fun! I loved that they wanted to document their special day in such a personal way.

Then the two went and met their friends and family at a nearby restaurant to finish the celebration with good food and drinks!
